Every Wednesday for the next month or so will be “Real Wedding Wednesday”. Morganley Weddings & Events will be featuring a few real weddings we’ve coordinated or planned in the last 2 years.
The first couple to be featured is Karena and Stan. I have known Karena for about 12 years and was so pleased when they hired me for Month of Management!
Karena and Stan got married on May 30, 2009.
Their ceremony was held at Maximillian Kolbe Parish in Mississauga, ON. The guests were greeted at the church by the groomsmen to be seated. Since I had known Karena for so long (we used to work together), there were many people at this wedding that I knew!
After the ceremony the bridal party and families headed to gorgeous Adamson Estates for pictures! Green Gecko Photography captured every moment of Karena & Stan’s wedding day and love for each other perfectly!
While they were getting their photos done, the Morganley team headed to Oasis Banquet Hall to set up for the reception. Karena and Stan’s theme was beach, and everything matched!
The cardbox was created by the groom to look like an underwater treasure chest. The escort cards were put into seashells – the slots were cut by the groom! Their centrepieces were put together with the help of the bridal party, and were stunning! The cake was adorned with seashells! The room which was set for just under 300 people was gorgeous!
After the bridal party entrances Karena and Stan had their first dance followed by parent dances. Karena and her dad danced to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw – this song still makes me tear up to this day! The guests danced the night away with a Polish band that learned how to sing “Corina, Corina” for the bride and a DJ that played everyone’s favourite songs!
Karena and Stan’s wedding day was a perfect day for a perfect day!
Here’s an action shot of my assistant Maureen at work with bridesmaid Sandra (see her wedding in a few weeks), bustling Karena’s dress on the photo shoot.
I enjoyed every minute of helping them coordinate and being there on the day of with them! Thanks so much guys for everything!!
